Former WGA student Jared James Nichols has gone on to do some tremendous things. While in High School Jared submitted a recording of himself to a national Fender Guitar competition and was selected as one of 250 winners to audition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He placed 2nd winning a $50,000 scholarship. The following year he won a second scholarship of $25,000. Since then Jared has worked with John Mayer, Buddy Guy, and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s band Double Trouble among others. Jared was also hired to compose, record, and perform in the Broadway production “The Tear Jar” and recently won Guitar Center's Midwest "King of the Blues" 2009 Competition AND the Musicians Institute 2010 Gibson Les Paul Competition.
